Do you remember that tragic last scene of The Wrath of The Lamb, aka the breathtaking ending of NBC’s Hannibal? Of course you do. I must admit I’m among those who think that sequence didn’t need a kiss between the two main characters; however, this does not mean I can’t imagine a slightly different version of that scene, just before the jump 🙂

The laundry list of problems with Sherlock’s last two seasons is long and convoluted, but one person seems to crop up on it frequently: Mary.
Unfortunately, Mary’s character seems to be the wrench that first threw the show out of alignment in S3. It’s not that Mary Morstan shouldn’t have been introduced, or that Amanda’s performance wasn’t well done. It’s that Mary was inserted into the show and then manipulated in a way that broke the logic of the plot, not to mention the dynamic of the two leads. More than that, the writers used her repeatedly to bait-and-switch the audience, without ever following up on the ideas they planted.
This explanation is so clear and sensible and I 100% agree. I don’t know if there will be a season 5, but if there is I hope the writers will just move on and leave all of the above regrettable choices behind. John and Sherlock get along brilliantly as they always do when they are not messed with. Baby is mysteriously cared for whenever needed. John is almost always at Sherlock’s side. Boop they’re fine. I think that’s best case at this point.
good lord this is like someone crawled into my head and wrote out everything I felt, but so elegantly and without near as many swear words
