My question of whether readers would like a chapter of Blackbird, Fly as a Christmas present has elicited very polarised responses. Some of you would love the next chapter. Some of you would rather wait so there’s no gap in reading Part 2. The split is almost exactly 50/50, so it’s hard know what to do!

So here’s my solution. I’ve been working on another Sherlock fanfic for a while now, whenever I needed a break and because the story was in my head and needed to get out. The first seven chapters take place during the Christmas holiday, and it only seems appropriate that they be read during Christmas (and I don’t want to wait for next Christmas). So I will offer you this new fic instead, a whole seven chapters released every other day for two weeks beginning tomorrow. I’ll begin releasing Blackbird, Fly in the new year.

I hope that pleases both parties, or neither. 🙂 I don’t know how people will respond to a story outside of the Fallen universe.
